Information about all users
The website does not capture or store personal information from site visitors without their knowledge. Data is collected on an ongoing basis using Google Analytics which helps us determine total number of visitors and how much visitors and participants use specific parts of our site so that we can improve its operation and appeal. This data is used in aggregate form only.
We also feature a Save my Bookcase section of the website that allows all users to create a basic account. This data is not displayed anywhere on the website and is collected only for the purpose of the user to access their customised bookcase. We do not use this data to build our database and we do not use it for promotional or any other purpose.
When we provide services, we want to make them easy, useful and reliable. Where services are delivered on the internet, this sometimes involves placing small amounts of information on your device, for example, computer or mobile phone. These include small files known as cookies. They cannot be used to identify you personally.
Removing and disabling cookies
If you do not wish to accept cookies on to your machine you can disable them by adjusting the settings on your browser. However this will affect the functionality of the websites you visit.
Information on movement members
Community Organisers website holds user accounts of Organisers, Organisations, Team members and Volunteers that are part of our movement. We keep account information active in our user registration databases in order to provide members of the public a way to contact the users and find out about their work.
If you ask Community Organisers to delete your account, in most cases your account will be deactivated and then deleted from our user registration database in approximately 90 days. This delay is necessary to discourage users from engaging in fraudulent activity.
Please note that any information that we have copied may remain in back-up storage for some period of time after your deletion request. This may be the case even though no account information remains in our active user databases.
